Mission Statement
- To promote improved community relations by demonstrating an interest in the youth of our community.
- To encourage physical and mental growth through keen competition.
- To emphasize good citizenship and scholastic achievement.
- To nurture good sportsmanship and a sense of fair play.
Focused on the elementary school children aged 6-18, Put Me N Coach.com is a very unique site because of our balanced mix of content, commerce and community. Our goal is to establish a fun, interactive, and innovative, content driven site for kids and their families. We are huge believers and very active participants in youth sports – it’s our passion. It is because of our love of youth sports that Put Me N Coach.com was created.
PMNC is a platform to plan, record and display Starting with the premise that our kids aren’t necessarily going to reach their ultimate goal of becoming a professional athlete should in no way diminish the benefits of dreaming, setting goals, and working to accomplish each of the resolutions. It’s imperative not to forget the many benefits to playing youth sports, including teamwork, good sportsmanship, developing motor skills, learning to win and to lose, and the friendships that are created along the way. Most of our kids will figure out and realize for themselves that they may not be a professional athlete, but if we help them set small, achievable goals, practice proper fundamentals, and set out a specific plan to accomplish their goals, all of them will benefit and perhaps some will actually be able to fulfill their dreams. Being great at anything, requires a plan, and goal setting. A young athlete needs to layout a plan for practice, competition and study of their sport. Athletes need to know what they are trying to accomplish. The goal needs to be specific, measurable, and have a time limit. Nobody who starts out is great their first day, but they can think big. The trick is to break their dream into manageable steps – something that’s hard to do, but achievable.

Quick points about site
The site is based upon points; the first member to reach a certain number will be rewarded handsomely. The more athletes who interact with the site, the more points they earn, the more points they earn, the more they have to spend on super prizes like scholarships, trips to the NBA Finals, The World Series, The Final Four and much more. Two of the main ways to earn points is through the “Brag N Rights” and “Draft Dollars” features:
Brag N Rights:
Anything a young athlete does is note worthy. It can be a game changing play or first ever touchdown, basket or homerun. It doesn’t matter. At Put Me N Coach we want all athletes to be recognized for every achievement. The goal is to have members record it all and be rewarded points for their interaction with the site.
Draft Dollars:
Members earn points (draft dollars) when performing certain task on site. Members can earn points by:
- logging in everyday
- referring other athletes to join
- log a “Brag N Right”
- make the honor roll
- purchase items from our online store
- and more
PMNC believes it’s not all about winning, it’s about achieving your goals
Losing creates opportunity. Every loss has more lessons about what a team or individual can do to improve than any win. Losing also provides more motivation. Winning tends to cause people to overlook errors in judgment and fundamentals that only losing can reveal. It's through this process that individuals and teams can discern areas to work on through practice to improve. Maybe even more important is that losing forces people to recognize that they want to win. The motivation provided by losing is a key to helping teams work harder in practice to improve and to play harder to win.
Losing is part of everything we do and has tremendous value. Mistakes are a natural part of participating so we shouldn't be afraid of acknowledging our errors and using them to improve. Our goal, in youth sports and in life, is to see the value of losing and use it to become better athletes, parents and people.
Overview and concept of site and how it should work
The bottom line is “put me n coach” is all about its members, and their bios. The thing we are trying to accomplish is to help kids learn at a young age the importance of sports and all of the things sports teach. For example sports teaches you leadership skills, discipline, confidence and helps build self-esteem, and teamwork, many of these skill will be useful later on in life. Our goal is to have a web based community of parents and kids as an activity they can build together while having the capability of interacting with others. Members should be able to build bios and create a private community where they can share photos, journals, stats, videos and interests with a growing network of mutual friends who share the same passion.
The 1st phase we want completed is members being able to build profiles (bios). The profiles will be standard with some exceptions:
- When showing profiles, members will have the “sport” they play @ the top as a heading along with a “screen name”, (not their real name).
- Picture
- Age
- Position
- Jersey number
- Team (they play on)
- State (maybe we should give the option if they want to list the city)
- etc
It should have all of the info most bios have on it, with the exception that it will have stats on it (also members will be able to invite other members, bookmark, etc) Also we would like for our members to be able to upload video clips. Also our members will able to change their background if they would like, and be private if they want (if people do a search, their profile won’t pop up unless they are invited to that member’s profile). And it is possible for everyone to have their own url’s (http://www.putmencoach.com/whoever) instead of 100000 e-mail addresses.
The only difference is when members are building bios (editing profiles), they have to choose from a certain sport and there are fields where members just plug in numbers for different stats.
Also we would like for our members to have a page where they can have a “scrapbook” of pictures OR can you make it rotate on their profile page?
In all of this we would have to incorporate “brag-n-rights” and “draft dollars”. Brag-n- rights is no more than members e-mailing us a story, and “draft dollars” are points earned for members signing in everyday, or recruiting other people to join, getting good grades etc. Also a search engine so if people do a search, i.e. 10 year old quarterback from Indiana, all the 10 year old quarterbacks from IN, will pop up. This is where members will be able to compare stats, or see who’s on their level or where they rank among others in their age group, city or whatever.
